What ho! Pepys....
Last night Lady Jacqueline and myself ventured out into the wilds of Norfolk......
.....and stumbled into a local Hostelry....
....to imbibe some of their alcoholic beverages.
When we entered the inner sanctum of the Ale House....
....entertainment was already in full swing!
To our amazement.....
....a local tribe known as the 'Hobnobs' had ventured out en-masse......
....and we were able to record them all....
...engaging in one of their extremely rare 'Initiation ceremonies'....
I said to Lady Jacqueline "Isn't it amazing?....that these people (who can barely read and write and live orf twigs and stones)....are able to engage in pursuits that we 'developed folk' would readily recognise as 'chatting' 'dancing' 'having a fag' and 'ordering a drink'...."
Then one of the Tribal Spiritual leaders stepped forward..
..to directly control proceedings..
...putting himself into some kind of primitive trance as he did so.....
..and it was at this point that the jungle rhythms became so intense..
..that I momentarily feared for our safety!
The whole of the Hobnob tribe.....
...(tapping into their collective consciousness in front of the stunned locals).....
...reached a previously unwitnessed climax in their celebrations...
....then.....
....as swiftly as they had arrived...
...they drifted orf into the night.....
..returning (no doubt) to the trees and caves that form their regular habitat for much of the year....
And as the last one left....
....she turned to me....
....and for a moment...
...through space and time.....
...our two worlds met...
...and she interacted with me...
...saying something....
...that I will NEVER forget....
...she said....
"Ug!"
