Whatto! Revellers.....
We were recently invited to the Masked Birthday Ball of Dame Willamina Futtox......
.....and it was wonderful to see everyone looking so resplendent....
People of all ages attended.....
....and the beauty of the mask......
...is that it allows one to hide one's natural feelings.....
...one can appear relaxed and happy....
....when one may be feeling otherwise.
The only area I can think of where masks are used extensively....
...is Wrestling...
...or ice hockey....
....or perhaps brothels....?
But this was no brothel!...
...this was an unusual birthday celebration....
...and Dame Willamina was determined to enjoy herself to the full with all her friends and family in attendance.......
More guests arrived...
...in a variety of disguises...
...all of which I found totally intriguing.
I always find it interesting to see how people chose to present themselves in public....
Some people are slightly less inhibited....
....and make a bold statement with their appearance....
....even when they aren't attending parties!
This lady managed quite admirably without the need for a mask at all....
Lady J and myself were there of course.....
....dressed in our full 'Masked Ball' regalia.....
....and I was also requested to entertain the gathering throng.....
....with a few of my popular hits.....
....from The Phantom of the Opera.....
The Birthday girl herself enjoyed an unusual Birthday Cake.....
....which was something she'd personally chosen for herself....
....her favourite.....
....Meat Pie!
...and it was absolutely delicious!
Tallyho!
Best Wishes - Lord Noel
