What-ho! Santas............
I was interested to read in the Daily Telegraph that in Sydney, Australia the Santas have been told not to use Father Christmas's traditional "Ho! Ho! Ho!" greeting because....................
..........wait for it...................
............it may be offensive to women!
Oh Yes!.................
Believe it or not Sydney's Santa Clauses have been instructed instead to say "Ha! Ha! Ha!"............
One disgruntled Santa told the newspaper that a recruitment firm warned him not to use "Ho! Ho! Ho!" because it could frighten children!....................
......and was too close to the word "Ho" (an American slang term for a prostitute).......
A local spokesperson for the US-based Westaff recruitment firm said..............
"It is 'misleading' to say the company has banned Santa's traditional greeting but it was being left up to the discretion of the individual Santa himself as to whether or not to use it."..............
What!? Christmas without prostitutes!?........................that just isn't Xmas!!
