Drink Night!

Whatttttto! Everyone............

I am currently enjoying the wonderful after effects of an event which has become known as 'Drinks Night'......

The concept is simple enough...............

Everyone choses a drink, researches it and brings it along to tell the others all about it and provide us all with a sample.....................

Sheer Genius!!.............

We began by lining our stomachs nicely (a very sensible precaution) ...................

....using succulent 'melt off the bone' lamb!.................

Yum!!

Accompanied by a wonderful array of vegetables including the (now patented) 'Cheesy Potatoes'!
Lovely grub indeed!!..............

It was then the point in the evening when we took turns to give our 'presentation' on our favoured tipple..................

With Guest appearances from...........................

Mount Gay Rum!!

Kir Cocktail!!

Taylors Ruby Port!!

Armagnac!!

Southern Comfort!!

Bourbon Whisky!

This is the very last picture of it intact!!

Such an auspicious drink deserved a special 'Opening Ceremony' with as much pomp and circumstance as we could muster at this stage in the proceedings!.........

It became increasingly difficult for any of the 'Guest Speakers' to control the crowd..............

who were - by this time - 'three sheets to the wind'!!.....................

Lady Jacqueline was on last of all - so she had the most difficult job dealing with hecklers (including myself)!..........

But she managed it beautifully!!...................

We then lined up all the bottles.................

.............together with a few 'extras' that I just happened to have close by....................

...........and had a 'comparison taste' session.............. where we could really 'home in' on the subtle nuances of each particular drink............

By now there was only One 'Right and proper' thing to do...................

......JACUZZI!!!...............

After which we ended the evening with a mammouth game of Texas Holdem poker.........

............and our wonderful guests began to randomly 'crash out' in various parts of Virtual Manor........... happy and contented from the evenings festivities!!

By the end of the night (or was it the beginning of the morning?)...............

I found that despite my drunken haze..................

........I'd learned an amazing amount of facinating information...................

.........and had a "Bally Good Time!" in the process!!

It made me wonder.......... why can't our schools be more like this?!

..............I'll Drink to that!! Har har!!

Thanks to everyone for making it such a great night!!

I look forward to many others!!

best wishes - Lord Noel
